Have you ever wondered how many cartoonists and comic artists get so many lines from their pens? The fact is that many are using different pens or are using very flexible dip pen. I personally use a technical pen and dip pen in my work depending on what I plan on the final work looking like. With pen and ink their is no right or wrong way to work with the pen. I like the technical pens because I can work faster than with a dip pen. I enjoy the dip pens because of their flexible line quality. The best way to find your line is to experiment with different pens and find the ones that you like to work with. Many people are scared of the pen and put it down too soon before finding their rhythm with it. You might find that it becomes your favourite tool in the art box.
