Happy Quiet Canada Day

Hard to believe we are already into July and trying to adjust to life as we roll out of the pandemic. Although we are allowed outside, there is almost nowhere to go. Are you tired of Zoom meetings and sitting in front of the computer? I know I am but I see this continuing for the near future. So what does that mean for Canada Day?

With no fireworks, events, music, or parties it will certainly be a quiet Canada Day. What will your day look like? Will you do individual fireworks? Will you have a family barbecue with just your bubble as they say? I am sure as Canadians we will celebrate somehow but it certainly won’t look like prior years.

As a caricature artist it is usually my busiest time of the year between weddings, corporate picnics, or Canada Day Parties. This year I will be watching from the balcony waving my small Canada Day flag. Life will be quite different for all of us this year, but whatever you do I hope it is fun for you, safe, and happy.

Happy Canada Day
