If you are looking for art classes to help you improve then try these tips in order to choose the class right for you:
First figure out what you are trying to learn, Note that is different from what you are interested in drawing. For instance if I want to draw people better I might want to take a cartooning class, but the better option would be to take a life drawing class. That would offer me much more information for improvement.
Second find out what is available in your area that fits your price range, schedule and so on. I have signed up for many classes to find out I have paid to miss half of the classes.
Third find out what the class is like. If you love to listen to rock and roll when you paint and you find everyone listens to classical music you may have a hard time being inspired or end up hating the class.
Fourth look for other ways to learn, with social media such as Youtube you don’t even have to leave the house to get a lot of information on the subject you are trying to learn. Create your own group or class with friends and exchange ideas, find a mentor, or just practice on your own. There is now wrong or right way to do art, as the marketers of Nike say, “Just do it!”
