Black History Month was celebrated in February and MM Robinson High School had me out to Graphic record and Facilitate Black History Month for the students. How did this work? I asked students about their favourite black musician, actor, or artist and then I drew a caricature of them. Then we had the students offer information about them based on their personal life and accomplishments allowing for a learning session while I graphic recorded it. Everyone had a great time and the graphic recordings were displayed afterwards for discussion in the classroom. Below are comments from the teacher and some pictures from the event.
