Caricature Artist Draws for Corporate Open House on Six Nations from Private Booth

It’s not too often I get a private booth at events but thats what happened at a recent open house event on Six Nations at the Grand River Employment Training Centre.

The event was being held on their training campus in the main food area. Lining the walls were several booths that normally would have food and other vendors selling goods to students taking training courses at the location. Other vendors were set up around the perimeter of the room selling everything from cookies, cakes, and small Christmas gifts from portable tables. When I arrived my contact Tawnie said.”I saved you a booth with lots of lighting” and showed me this cool little booth.

At first I thought no one will see me in here. As a caricature artist being visible and centre of attention is kind of the idea. After all you are there for entertainment. The event wasn’t as busy as they had expected but people still had fun. I drew many of the vendors and guests that attended and was even given some great cookies and a cup cake.

They decorated the place nicely with a Christmas /Winter theme and I met some great people. Thank you to Grand River Employment and Training for having me out to your corporate event and I look forward to drawing for you again sometime.
