It’s been over ten years since I visited Comicon Toronto. I used to be an artist in Artist Alley back when I was publishing my Pride Junkie Comic Series from 2008 to 2010. Fan Expo was the event at the time and I remember it was more about the comic books and the movies. Apparently that has changed.

Why visit Comicon after all these years? My Granddaughter recently had her fifteenth birthday and is herself a talented artist. Living in a small town I thought she would enjoy the experience of seeing the big city of Toronto and experiencing her first Comicon. As we wandered through the crowds at the event she was amazed at the costumes, toys, and art on display at the event. I didn’t know many of the characters but she sure did, in fact we searched endlessly for a certain image for her to buy.
While she took pictures of different people and their costumes I managed to get a couple pictures with characters I recognized. It was good to catch up with long time artist friend Mike Rooth who was displaying at the show with his wife Rebecca.

So all in all I was happy to help my Granddaughter experience a part of my life that has always been a big draw for me. I am sure we will be attending future events.
