Truck Caricature Helps Silent Auction Raise Over $2000: Bruce Outridge Productions

I recently created a truck caricature as a silent auction item for the Professional Truck Training Alliance of Canada’s second annual conference. The conference was held in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and the host chose Ronald McDonald House as the charity of choice. The picture along with the other auction items raised over $2000 for the charity. A big thank you to Kim Richardson for purchasing the caricature at the auction.

Putting together a silent auction truck caricature is more than just drawing a funny picture, at least for me and I tried to incorporate a number of items to make it special. Although I draw a number of trucks choosing a truck was important. Since the charity started in 1974 I chose a 1974 Kenworth as the base for the caricature. Every truck needs a driver and who better than Ronald McDonald himself. Next I wanted to incorporate the PTTAC logo as it has a highway at the base of the Canadian Maple Leaf. With all that in mind the picture got created.

So congratulations to Kim and PTTAC for a successful silent auction. You can read the LinkedIn post from Kim Richardson below.
