Wedding season is kicking into high gear as we end out May and this time I was travelling back to a familiar spot in St Jacobs Ontario at Cellar 52. The guests at Miriam and Richard’s Wedding in St Jacobs Ontario were amazing and I must say it is the first time I have had a caricature catch on fire. Here is what happened.

These two friends in the photo above were drawn together at the wedding. We had some great laughs and later in the evening they returned to have another caricature done. When I asked jokingly why they wanted another one drawn they said the last one caught on fire. I thought they were joking until multiple guests confirmed that a candle had started to burn the caricature. I often joke with guests that I don’t sit near the fireplace so I don’t have to see people burn the caricature in front of me. I have to say that is the first time I have had my art burned by fire. It sure made for some fun laughs.
Thank you to Miriam and Richard for having me out to draw at your wedding. View pictures from the wedding here.
