It was fun helping the Paris Lion’s Club celebrate Canada Day at their 95th Annual Family Day Festival. The event was held in a beautiful park in the heart of Paris Ontario. Entertainment included caricatures by yours truly, local Canadian musicians, costumed characters, magicians, stilt walkers, pool, and sprinkler pads. The Paris Lion’s even gave out free water, hotdogs, and ice cream to all who attended.
The Paris Lion’s asked me to draw their team, but they started with five people and when I finished I had ten or twelve. I had to tape two pieces of my large paper together to complete the picture.
You meet the best people when you get out there and draw. Big shout out to my friend Doug that recommended us for the event, Hannah from Barbados which started a big conversation about the island, and pirate Captain Jack.
We were lucky enough to miss the gale force storm that came in just as we finished packing up and thank you to the Paris Lions Club for having me out.
