Deposit and Payment Information for Events

There are many ways to pay for your event or leave a deposit. First we don’t ask you to pay for your event up front, but we do ask for a $50 deposit to hold the booking date. This deposit will come off the total for your event and is just used to secure the date. The deposit is non-refundable unless for an unseen incident we have to cancel our participation in the event. If you need to change the date of the event there is no charge. Below are some frequently asked questions regarding deposits and payment. If you still need more information please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 289-337-2630.

When should you make the deposit?

You should only make the deposit once a booking confirmation has been sent to you with the details of your event. This ensures the date is available for you and the details have been arranged for both parties.

How do we except deposits and payments?

We accept a number of avenues for payment to make it easy for our customers. You can pay online by Paypal (see payment button below) or by Interac Transfer. You can pay by credit card over the phone, we accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. You can send us a cheque in the amount of $50 to the mailing address on the booking confirmation. For cheque deposits you have 14 days from the date of the booking confirmation for us to receive your cheque. If the cheque is not received within that time a reminder will be sent and possibly the date will be released.Cash, cheque, or credit card payments are available the day of the event.

Why do you charge taxes?

Bruce Outridge Productions is a division of Outridge Enterprises Inc. Since the company is located in Ontario Canada we are required by law to charge the Provincial tax called the HST which is 13%. This must be charged and remitted to the Government. This is not our income to keep or our choice.

Why don’t other performers charge taxes?

We don’t have control over how other entertainers are set up, but for us this is a full time, viable company. We have put processes in place to prove we are reputable and in business for the long term. Many other entertainers work on a part time basis so being set up properly may not be their focus

Do we get a discount on taxes for paying by cash?

We frequently get this question and as much as we understand people are on a budget, we don’t offer discounts for cash payments. We have to pay the taxes to the Government regardless of the currency paid.
