Many artists I know are constantly trying to out due the last piece of art that they created. Thats fine as that can help you grow. Every once in a while however make sure you have save time to take a good look at your work in group form. Just recently while getting ready for my cartoon show I found a style that I had left for a while. I am now working in that style again and finding it very rewarding. Looking at your work together can help to flesh out possible styles, features etc that cna help you break away in the pack. Always be reviewing.
